Vaginal Discharge

Vaginal Discharge

Vaginal discharge could have various causes, for instance yeast infection or urinary tract infection. It can also have different colors and texture - for instance brown, white, yellow or milky or cheesy. Vaginal odor or vaginal itching can also accompany vaginal discharge.

Generally though, if there is no vaginal burning, or if it doesn’t smell, or it doesn’t itch, or isn’t hick, there may not be a serious problem. In any case, you would want to consult your physician.

Bacterial vaginosis is one of the chief causes of vaginal discharge. It is not sexually transmitted. Although most vaginal discharges may not be a cause for concern, however, in some case they may be.

There are many other causes of vaginal discharge. The best course of action is to see a doctor.
